- At the RBH there has been collaboration between the inpatient pharmacy and Lloyds outpatient pharmacy, so patients being looked after by the COVID ambulatory clinic can receive medications directly to their homes.
- Prescriptions are written in the COVID ambulatory clinic and then taken to the inpatient or outpatient pharmacies.
- Prescriptions are then dispensed and delivered to the patient’s home either by Lloyds pharmacy or by RBH volunteers.
- The COVID ambulatory clinic does not prescribe routine medications for patients (these still need to go through the patient’s GP).
